Royal Parks Foundation Drinking Fountain

The Royal Parks in London are amongst the greatest spaces in the world.
However, many of their public drinking fountains are generations old and need to be restored or replaced and there is a need for new drinking fountains to provide the Parks' 37m visitors per annum with an attractive, sustainable alternative to the hundreds of thousands of plastic water bottles discarded each year.
The Royal Parks Foundation and the Tiffany & Co. Foundation, in partnership with the Royal Institute of British Architects, are challenging all design disciplines - including architects, engineers, product designers and artists - to create a low-cost, attractive, drinking fountain suitable for the Royal Parks and other public spaces around the world.
The winner will see their work turned into reality in the Parks. Designs will be judged on aesthetics, robustness for life in a public park, ease of maintenance and installation, sustainability and environmental impact and affordability.
